A word from Janet...

My Prayer In Times of Trouble
Contact Janet

In the still of the night
I pray that you will see my fright
In the heat of the day
Keep my head cool I pray
I know it isn’t for me to decide
Who is wrong and who is right
But help me to see my prayers are reaching you
And this fight is not mine to hold on to
That it is one I have to let go of and move on
To know there is no reason or rhyme for what has been done
You are the one that knows and sees all there is to see
You are the one that knows what all there is in me
I have to trust that my heart is true
And that all I do, I do for you
I have to know and believe with all my heart
That what they see is wrong was good intentions from the start
I may not always be so perfect as I had planned
But I know that I have everything you have given from your hand

How many times in your life, have you faced distress and trouble, you have called on
the Lord over and over and you have asked Him, "why is this happening? Why are you
letting this continue, you said you would give me what I ask for, but I have no
answers from you, why?"

It is hard, it gets disheartening, it is hard to understand why sometimes to see the
answer, the reason, why God is waiting, seems to be hesitating... You see others
getting their blessings right away, you see others getting that job you wanted, you see
others paying their bills and you are still waiting on just an answer. It is hard to not
to get angry, it is hard not to question God, question His reason, question His
motives. It is hard to stay focused and pray for deliverance, because you just really
want to say, "fine, I will do it myself!"  and be done with it. Been there, done that,
how about you?

God allows us to go through these things, for reasons usually unknown to us His
chilren. He knows what we are going through, He sees our consistancy, He sees our
prayers, He hears our cries, and He sees our tears. I believe that even though He has a
reason why He tarries, why He doesn't just give us what we ask for right away, I
believe He grieves with us through our hard times.

He wants us to gain strength, He wants us to learn a lesson, He wants us to slow
down and hear from Him, and He wants us to grow in our despair. God will
strengthen you. He will give you comfort, and He will be our very help in times of
trouble.

Lean on the Lord, no matter how long He holds back the answer, while He tarries for
the answer we are needing from Him. Do not give up! Wait on the Lord!
Thought for the Week
Psalms 27:14 - Wait on the Lord: be of
good courage, and he shall strengthen
thine heart; wait, I say, on the Lord.

Psalms 46:1 - God is our refuge and
strength, a very present help in trouble.
